General Description of Duties: Responsible for leading assigned housekeeping staff, completing all assigned associated administrative paperwork as well as assigned housekeeping services duties. Assists in all operational job specific training to a person or persons with disabilities (associates) while assisting them in the performance of their assigned duties on a daily basis. Directly leads 4-10 housekeeping staff. Work will be performed in a hands-on-fashion. Prepares and submits associate employee timesheets in a timely manner. Recommends disciplinary actions for assigned staff and associate employees. Perform all housekeeping job duties as assigned. Makes necessary changes to assist the supervisor and facilitate the customer. Participates in team meetings. Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to supporting the needs of associates and clients with developmental disabilities in accordance with state and agency requirements and protocols.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. One year experience performing housekeeping services for a large facility required. One year experience leading or supervising staff. Three (3) years general work experience preferred. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.

Other Requirements: Must pass background check (Mandatory finger printing and screening by State of NM and FBI) and drug screen. Must possess a valid NM driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance. Must be able to obtain security clearance as required. May be required to pass a Suitability Check conducted by the Government Protective Services for the Dept. of Health and Human Services. Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to motivate assigned staff, and have the ability to accurately record data. Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop, and operate required equipment continuously. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
