General Description Duties:

The primary duty of this position is to provide front-line customer service in person and/or by telephone to refer customers to appropriate office or staff. Employee performs basic office support functions. Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Opens office each day, including start-up office equipment, check voice mail and maintain the office in a neat, orderly fashion; answers multi-line phone in a professional manner, routing all incoming calls to appropriate person or taking messages; acts as company liaison between customers, visitors, callers and staff; interacts in a positive manner with clients passing through the front office.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail; processes outgoing mail on a daily basis; maintains and updates staff mailboxes, in/out board; assists with mass mailings and the bi-annual calendar mailing; maintains postage in office postage machine.
  • Schedules non-routine cleaning of front office as needed; schedules repairs and routine maintenance of shared office equipment; maintains office supplies and various forms in front office; provides input into front office procedures; provides feedback on self-evaluation and evaluations for other staff as requested; requests purchase of supplies as needed.
  • Performs basic office support functions including but not limited to keyboarding, filing, record keeping, send/distributes faxes, makes copies, assembles manuals, accesses data using a computerized records system/data base, prepares/mails miscellaneous correspondence.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year receptionist and general clerical experience required.
  • One year experience answering multiple phone lines.
  • Customer service experience greatly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.

Other Requirements: Must be able to pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a valid NM drivers license and proof of auto liability insurance. Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record. An employee in this position frequently sits at a desk or workstation - must be able to sit, stand or otherwise perform typing/keyboarding tasks as required to perform the essential duties of position. Must be able to sit, perform keyboarding functions, and utilize a calculator continually. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder(s) frequently. Job type: Full time Monday - Friday 7:45am - 5:00pm

Pay: From $15.00 per hour.
