General Description of Duties: The primary duties of the Nurse-RN are to coordinate health care services for individuals on the DD Waiver in accordance with the DDSD Standards. This includes but is not limited to coordination of their health care services, training of staff, write health care plans, provide nursing visits, attend doctor appointments, IDT and ISP meetings. Maintains the medication administrative records and treatment records and treatment records. Nurse RN is also responsible for overseeing LPN's and providing RN support to the nursing team.

Education and Training:

• RN certification as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of New Mexico required.
• Must maintain CPR, First Aid, and other trainings/certifications as required.
• One year experience working with disabled individuals, including those with severe/profound disabilities, strongly preferred.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English with internal and external customers of Adelante.
• Must have the ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures.
• Must be able to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms.
• Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors, and co-workers.

Other Requirements: Must pass TB test and background check. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM drivers license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, carry, and perform keyboarding/typing tasks frequently. Must be able to squat, reach above shoulder(s), kneel, balance, push, pull and lift 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be sufficiently mobile to visit various sites without prior notice. Pay: $35.00 per hour.
