$1250 Hiring Bonus

General Description of Duties: Responsible for the oversight of all custodial operations, maintenance, landscaping and proper upkeep of all buildings/facilities located at the assigned contracts as assigned by the Operations Manager. Responsible for the inspection of all work performed by subordinates to ensure compliance with the Scope of Work. Duties will include landscaping of grounds, repair and maintenance of facilities (minor electrical, plumbing, painting, woodwork and custodial) plus other tasks required by the assigned contract. This work is performed in a hands-on fashion.

Education and Training: High School diploma or equivalent required. Post high school training in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, masonry and landscaping preferred. Five years work experience required. Five years general maintenance and/or custodial experience required. Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment, tools and equipment associated with facilities maintenance required. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.

Other Requirements: Must have strong attention to detail and quality, and the ability to apply them. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, lift 50 lbs, and carry 40 lbs frequently. Must be able to operate equipment (vacuums, buffers, extractors, lawn mower, leaf blower, edger, etc.) continuously for several hours at a time. Must be able to climb ladders for cleaning purposes. May be required to work outside normal schedule for training, agency meetings and other related duties as required. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM drivers license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
