General Description of Duties: The primary duty of this position is to be responsible for assisting in all aspects of personal care of seniors in a residential home including but not limited to personal care, household duties and client health care regimens. As a Supported Living Staff duties include but are not limited to;

• Assists clients with all personal care (i.e., oral care, attends assistance, toileting, repositioning, bathing, eating, skin care, eating, etc.)
• Responsible for completion of household duties (i.e., meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, etc.)
• Upon completion of specialized training, assists clients with health care regimens (i.e. medication, dietary needs, etc.)
• Completes all required daily and shift documentation.
• Contributes and assists with developing and implementation of client plans and directives
• Communicates with clients directly and encourages client independence and participation in all aspects of daily living.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English at the level of proficiency required for the position in accordance with State requirements. 
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Other Requirements:  Must pass background/fingerprint investigation, pre-employment drug screening and TB test.  Must have own reliable transportation.  Must successfully complete training courses and pass written competency examinations mandated by the New Mexico Department of Health DDSD.  Must pass and maintain training certification in all state, agency, and/or other training requirements of the position and job assignment.  Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. with assistance or independently, bend stoop, reach above shoulders, balance, push, pull frequently.  Must be able to support 130lbs.    Adelante is a drug free workplace.  Adelante is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.

Job Type: Full-Time. Sunday thru Thursday

Pay: $15.00 per hour, plus shift differential for specific shifts.
